Happy Friday, friends!I can’t believe we’re here again (not that I’m complaining, trust me). The thing is, it seems like I was writing last Friday’s post just a minute ago. Basically, what I’m trying to say is that time flies when you’re having fun. Time also flies when you’re doing anything and everything to wish spring into the picture. Could we stop with the snow already?
One. I started a new little corner on the blog to keep up with adventures and goings-on in the new city. Check it out! DC Confidential: This Week In Washington.
Two. There are many significant immigrants in my life: my mom, some of my best friends, and now, the chef who started the organization I work for. Very proud to see Chef José Andrés standing in solidarity with fellow immigrants by closing down his restaurants yesterday for “Day Without Immigrants.” Check out the story here.
Four. Fredrick Buechner continues to bring wit and honesty to the Christian life. I read this sermon in one of his books, but you should give it a listen: The Stewardship of Pain.
Five. I was pretty surprised that America fell so low on this list. Maybe we make America great again by consuming more chocolate and less alternative facts, yes?
That’s it for me! Off to the final day of work this week and hopefully a relaxing weekend. Catch up on your sleep and take time to appreciate who you are, where you are, and what you’re doing. You’re awesome!
