It’s Friday and you made it! This deserves a pat on the back at the very least and perhaps a fresh-baked cookie. It’s hard to believe that I have just two weeks of being a college student left, so I’m trying to soak up these last little moments as much as I can. Here are a few highlights from this week…
One. I would have to say that this week’s meal prep was probably the most successful yet. Packing those individual lunches was oh-so-easy and I got to fuel my sweet potato fry obsession, which is always a good thing.
Two. Interesting speculations among the GOP about a potential dark horse candidate. This election keeps getting more House of Cards by the minute and I can’t decide if I should be entertained or worried (most likely the latter).
Three. Tomorrow, I will be joining my Miss Tennessee sisters at the Nashville Zoo for a fun day of volunteering for Miss America Serves Day! If you’re interested in donating to support this effort, visit this link! All proceeds will be going to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.Four. If you’re looking for a little inspiration this week, read my interview with Laura Moore, Education Liaison for the Mayor’s Office. She offers key insight into staying true to who you are in the midst of a world that wants us to be just about 20 million things.
Five. I just felt like ending this post with a little blessing, so here we go: “now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
Alright y’all, that’s it for me! Have a fabulous weekend!
