Happy Friday from beautiful Pennsylvania! I am here spending the weekend with my brother and dad for Easter, and am looking forward to a little R & R. I hope you’re doing the same with people you love. Let’s get on to the world this week…
One. Here’s a headline that brought me to tears: The Pope Washes The Feet of Muslim Migrants, Calls Them Brothers. While the world is still reeling in the wake of the Brussels attacks, there could not be a more powerful demonstration of love conquering all.
Two. I have another job where I get to write about food (yay!). If you’re trying to eat healthy this Easter, these recipes may help you out in a pinch. (Also, this ham is baked with green apples inside holy wow.)
Three. If you haven’t read this week’s Power Of One Wednesday yet, you need to. Bianca Buckridee’s story is one of incredible endurance and unique approaches to solving problems—lifting her from the New York foster care system to the cover of American Banker. You don’t want to miss this.
Four. You all are ROCKSTARS and helped me meet my March #CMNChallenge goal! I am overwhelmed by your generosity towards an organization that means so much to 17 million families each year, including mine. Stay tuned for April’s challenge—it’s something so big, you’ve never seen anything like it before.
Five. And, for your Friday comedic relief, 18 Pets Who Learned The Hard Way Not To Play With Bees. Ouch.
Well, that’s it for me! Wishing you all a wonderful Easter weekend as we celebrate the most pivotal moment in the history of the world. May we rejoice in His sacrifice and deep love for us this week.
