Good morning, everyone!
It brings me a lot of joy writing these posts each week…for one thing, it’s a reminder that it’s Friday, and for another, it’s a good time to pause and reflect. I have a pretty relaxed weekend, and although it’s not going to be as good as what I was doing last week…
One. The Bahamas. You should go sometime. Especially when you go on a cruise with your friends. Especially when you get to sip fruity drinks out of coconuts. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Two. Sometimes I go through my favorite food blogs and dream about the first thing that I’ll eat post-pageant in June. These Banana Milk Chocolate Weekend Pancakes from Joy are a top contender. If your diet includes more than fish and asparagus, you should definitely make these and tell me how they are.
Three. I had the honor of interviewing former mayor of Nashville, Karl Dean this week. Check out my interview here—lots of great insight about hard work and pursuing your dreams, no matter how big or small they are.
Four. I’ve been keeping up with the ongoing struggle between Apple and the F.B.I. There’s a very fine line between national security and protection of privacy, and I have a feeling that the results of this ruling will have very important implications for the future of our nation.
Five. We’re entering into Easter this coming week! I’m hoping you’ll join me in taking some time to reflect on the world-changing sacrifice that God made on behalf of man all those years ago. Wishing you and yours a very happy Holy Week!
That’s all folks! Live and be well.
