Gooood morning, everyone!

It’s a rainy day here in Nashville and 100% of me wants to be back in bed under the covers. While we can’t get everything we wish for, I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend in Mobile with my little sis! Hoping that you’re able to find some similar rest this weekend.

Here’s five things from my world. This list is best enjoyed with a big cup of coffee.

One. Drake on Cake. If you haven’t heard about this yet, my absolute favorite blogger in the entire world just decided to become more wonderful by putting Drake lyrics on baked goods. I know this seems like a big deal, and it is.

Two. There have been a lot of great people leaving us lately, Alan Rickman being one of them. I’ll never forget how my entire perception of Snape changed when I learned about his selfless (albeit grouchy) love for Harry. Thank you for bringing to life one of my all-time favorite antagonists.

Three. Workouts for Miss Tennessee officially began this week. This means early mornings at TITLE Boxing that left me unable to move but hopeful for the progress I’m going to make. If you’re interested in trying a class here in Nashville, comment and I can get you signed up for a ***free first class***!

Four.  I started a new weekly segment on the blog called Power of One WednesdayI’m interviewing influential people in my life and the Nashville community about ways they believe one small thing can make a big difference. Check out this week’s interview with my mom and stay tuned for next Wednesday’s post!

Five. I recently started reading Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Life Together and it’s blowing my mind about the Christian life. Here’s a quote I’ll be mulling over into the weekend:

“We must be ready to allow ourselves to be interrupted by God. God will be constantly crossing our paths and canceling our plans by sending us people with claims and petitions.”

Wishing you a wonderful and rest-filled weekend!

xx,

Jeanette
