This is the Friday of Fridays, y’all.
I’m sitting on my couch with a cup of hot tea, and I am planning on doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the next ten days. How wonderful is that? The end of the semester is here, and I’m being called to rest. If you need me, I’ll probably be under a pile of blankets somewhere with my BFF Netflix.
Here’s a few things from this week:
One. I turned the big ol’ 21 on Wednesday! So so thankful for my AMAZING friends who planned the most perfect of days for me, and for the hundreds of birthday wishes! Cheers to a new year and finally being able to get into 80% of the music venues in Nashville! (Also, I wrote this article for Relish in anticipation of being legal…holla!)
Two. 2015 was a pretty cool year because of people like these. Faith in humanity: restored.
Three. This Chocolate Almond Ginger Bark from Joy the Baker looks totally amazing. Like, worth-getting-off-the-couch-for amazing.
Four. If you’re stuck on what to get that person in your life for Christmas, may I suggest one of these extraordinarily average gifts?
Five. In the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it can be easy to forget the purpose of Advent. It’s a season of intentional waiting and joyful anticipation, both for the birth of Christ and for His work in our daily lives. My church has been doing a really great job of discussing this idea—check it out!
Hey. You. Stand a little taller today. You’re awesome as you are!
