Gooooood morning everyone!
So, I’ve been up since 5 AM and am currently slightly over-caffeinated. It’s a great feeling! We’re inching ever-so-closer to the holidays and I’m looking forward to the day I can spend all my time with Netflix and a mug of hot cocoa.
I can almost taste it. Let’s go!
One. This morning was more than worth waking up for to benefit Children’s Miracle Network! I volunteered with the Annual River of Hope Radioathon hosted by 107.5 The River, and got to talk to some awesome folks as well as get quizzed on guy stuff on the show (hey, I won, which is all that matters). Call in today at 877-719-KIDS if you want to join the fun! Two. I’m reluctant to comment on the whole Donald Trump situation, but what I will say is this: if you’re in a position of power, you need to really think about what you’re saying. People are easily impressionable and I’ve been horrified about some of the things people have experienced at the expense of others who think that bigotry is justified if people are hurting. Injustice is injustice. Plain and simple.
Three. My 24 hours in Ann Arbor were a dream. Notable accomplishments: walking over 16,000 steps, managing not to look like a tourist, leaving my laptop in a café, and consuming this delicious sandwich from Zingerman’s (note: I like putting jam on my sandwiches. All of them. It’s just a thing).Four. I’m in the market for a new Netflix series. Already completed: House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Orange is The New Black, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and New Girl. Hit me with those suggestions, people!
Five. I wanted to say something that might come across weird. The last thing I want to do is measure my worth by my social media following (likes are not love). But I’m going through a little bit of a rough patch right now and I really do appreciate the affirmation and support I’m receiving. I think God communicates love in all sorts of ways, so I appreciate you, even if you’re a thousand miles away sprawled out on your couch. Thanks for the love. I hope a little finds your way today, too.
Have a blessed weekend!
