Good morning sunshines!

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts! To be honest, I am an addictive list-maker, so even a random roundup of things about my week ends up being really fun for me. Hope you don’t find that too dorky.

Anyways, here’s a few little tidbits from my life that I found worth sharing!

One. I’ve been reading the book of Isaiah in my studies recently and it’s really opened up for me as I’ve studied it. In particular, I’m a big fan of Ch. 30. If you’ve got a spare 10 minutes, give it a read! I think it’s both a beautiful description of the imperfection of humanity and an even more beautiful depiction of God’s patient grace.

Two. One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to look at lovely pictures of food. There are so many talented food bloggers and so many things I want to make…I mean, how lovely is this gallette by Liv for Cake? There’s a farmer’s market this Tuesday and I think this is the perfect vehicle for fresh fall apples.

Three. Something that made me a little sad this week was the story of young Ahmed, who brought a homemade clock to his high school in Texas and was arrested under the suspicion of it being a bomb. While I can understand underlying fears due to events around the world, I really think the process could have been handled better. Shoutout to Obama for inviting him to bring his project to the White House. Ahmed, I hope you get into MIT and become the next big tech innovator!

Four. Fall is for pumpkin spice lattes, friends, and knitting. I’ve devised a fall bucket list just for Nashville, and I can’t wait to try them all!

Five. I’m headed to South Carolina for the weekend to visit a friend and I couldn’t be more excited! In preparation for this weekend adventure, I decided to look up the most random South Carolina facts. Here’s a few you might not know

  • There are no major sports league teams in South Carolina.
  • Some notable SC town names: Coward, South of the Border, Due West, Ninety Six, and Welcome.
  • It is against the law to buy or sell an electric eel in South Carolina.

Thanks for taking five minutes to get inside the random assortment of images and words that make up my mind. I hope you have a stellar weekend!
