Good morning everyone!
Is it just me, or did this week seem like an absolute struggle? Even though we had Monday off, I still feel two hundred percent exhausted and am so looking forward to trying to get some actual rest this weekend. Whether you’re planning to stay in bed all day or go out and be one of those people who is actually productive, here’s the long and short of it…
1. This song is on repeat.
2. My favorite late night activity has and always will be going to Fox’s Donut Den. It’s been in Nashville for over 30 years and is a safe haven for college students seeking some late night carbs and love. Zoe and I made short work of a half dozen, bringing the amount of doughnuts I ate that day to…4. Healthy living, amirite?
3. Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah has passed away at the age of 90. Consequently, we may be kissing dollar-something a gallon gas prices goodbye. More importantly, the new leader, Abdullah’s brother Salman now must set the tone for this country at a very tense time.
4. Today’s word of the day is anabasis, which is a military term for a march or advance and a difficult retreat. So you could end up having to order an anabasis following a failed anabasis…words are weird.
5. Thought from Steven Furtick’s book that I’m currently reading:
“The reason that we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everybody else’s highlight reel.”
Okay, that’s all from me. Have a great weekend!
