Howdy folks!

So I haven’t been writing for a little bit, seeing as I just emerged out of two of the craziest weeks of my life. But today, my classes are canceled, my coffee was delicious, and I am looking forward to a lovely weekend in November. {Real talk: how is it already November?} In the midst of all the chaos and chatter, and as everyone begins to migrate home for Thanksgiving and the holidays, here are a few things going on in Jen’s world that I think are pretty neat.

1. Bad: Losing favorite glasses. Good: Warby Parker is sending me five new pairs to try on. I’m already pretty sure I’m going to fall in love with Vaughn in Eastern Bluebird Fade.

2. Is it bad that I find this little nugget at the end of Google’s new ad the cutest thing ever? Okay Google, you can stop pulling at my heart strings now.

3. This Pinterest board from Thought Catalog is my go-to when I need some cheering up. Seriously, good thoughts and vibes whenever you need them. So excited that I’ve got an unofficial “author page” on their website! #humblebrag…

4. Speaking of writing, if you haven’t read The Laughing Heart by Charles Bukowski, you need to go do it. Right now. This poem is etched on the table of my favorite coffee shop and I will never stop being thankful for finding it on that day. I’ve even put it below here so you literally can’t miss it!

5. Who else watched the winter season finale of Scandal last night? All I have to say is that when life as Belmont SGA Prez gets rough, I’m just glad I’m not Fitz. Or Olivia. Or Jake. I’d be fine with being Mellie, though. ;)

6. In case you were wondering…

7. If you’re stuck wondering what you should make for Thanksgiving dinner, why not shake it up a little bit and have your own Tacogiving?

8. Today, I’m wearing a cardigan that I found in a thrift store. This cardigan has a bunch of flags of the world on it. I think I win at life and am absolutely prepared to handle any international crisis that may come my way. Also, early-morning computer selfies are the best.

9. This wonderful woman of God wrote a book that I love, and her blog is amazing. Check out Ann Voskamp and One Thousand Gifts here.

10. Lastly, here’s a favorite quote of mine to get you through the day and weekend!

Attract what you expect, reflect what you desire, become what you respect, mirror what you admire.

Let’s go get’m! Have a great weekend, y’all.
