Where do we start with 2012?

What a crazy, blessed year. Here’s the highlight reel.

In February, I spent some major fun time in Madison as part of the Senate Scholar program. Something I’ll never forget is the crazy-intense climb to the top of the capital. As I looked out, I felt like anything was possible.

Hanging out with my Miss America girls for Laura’s homecoming was fun, especially when we got to be models for Express!

The whole graduation thing happened. Bonus points for the brother in the suit caught mid-chew with this piece of cake.

This little angel found her way into our lives. Love you, Bucks!

Had a blast in Mobile, Alabama while representing Wisconsin at the Distinguished Young Women National Finals.

Packed up all my stuff and left Wisconsin in August.

Chaos ensued.

I showed up at Belmont with basically no idea what I was doing with my life. Unfortunately, that hasn’t changed…yet.

But I took a few pictures…

Lived with this crazy, carrot-eating English major who I love with all my heart…

Had many a late night…

Went to some concerts {read: too many. I mean, the CMA Awards? The Grammy Nominations? Being able to listen to the radio and every time hearing someone that you’ve seen live? Unreal.}

I played a little bit of music, mainly because people at Belmont are so good at blowing me away with their talent, passion, and all around awesomeness.

Speaking of Belmont…I guess I showed some school spirit, on the rare occasion. No, I’m not the girl with the painted face…

I met some people who are pretty much great. Like these guys….

And my main ladies…

You could find us singing and walking down the street, like an actual musical,

Ice skating…

Having adventures of TITANIC proportions…

Working hard…

And hardly working…

Going to parties….

Throwing the parties…

Having church in a field….

Meeting famous people…

And getting just enough sleep to wake up and do it all over again.

I am so, so blessed to everyone who has been a part of my 2012. Thank you to my old friends and plenty of new ones. Thank you for sharing these moments with me, especially those moments that didn’t make it to Facebook or Instagram or this blog. I am so thankful that you are in my life and make me the person that I am.

Have a blessed, blessed New Year!
