Hey everyone!

I had originally planned on starting this blog on the first day of college. But since summer’s come to that wonderfully slow time, I figured that there was no better time than now.

The hardest part about writing this blog is the awkward introductory post. I’m Jeanette.

That should suffice…right?

Let’s start with motivation. The reason I’m writing this blog…is because I love to write. And exciting things are about to happen in the next couple of weeks. In exactly a month, I’m going to leave behind the world I knew growing up in Racine, Wisconsin, and start a completely new life at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s scary, it’s exciting, it’s inspiring. It opens up itself to a world of different things to write about. So, I decided to branch out, and take the plunge!

Why “The Blessed Life?”

I had a lot of different ideas for what this experiment should be called. But in the end, I realized that all of my passions: music, food, Pokémon, friends, learning, and life in general–are all blessings. And life, be it messy, tragic, exciting, beautiful–is an incredible gift. This blog is the process of discovering and thanking God for those gifts.

The Blessed Life {well, the blog at least} begins now!
